Experience the wild side of the Greater Caucasus with an unforgettable Heliskiing adventure in Mestia, Georgia. Surrounded by dramatic peaks, glaciers, deep valleys, and vast untouched terrain, Svaneti offers exceptional opportunities for big-mountain skiing far beyond the resort boundaries.

Based in Mestia, our heliskiing experience takes you into remote high-altitude terrain selected according to the weather forecast, snow conditions, avalanche stability, and the experience level of the group. After a professional safety briefing, you’ll fly into the mountains and access terrain that would otherwise require a long ski tour or mountaineering approach.

Single-Drop Heliskiing

For a quick taste of Georgian big-mountain skiing, the single-drop option offers a spectacular descent from around 3,300 meters, with approximately 1,700 meters of vertical drop. The descent typically takes around 1–1.5 hours, depending on the terrain and snow conditions.

The exact landing location is determined on the day based on the weather and mountain conditions. No advance reservation is required for the single-drop option, making it a flexible addition to your freeride or ski touring trip in Mestia.

Full-Day Heliskiing

For those looking for a full day of helicopter-accessed skiing, the full-day option combines approximately 4 hours of helicopter flying time with multiple runs. The number and location of descents depend on the weather, snowpack, terrain conditions, and the group’s objectives.

The day begins with a safety briefing before departure, followed by another briefing at the helipad. The helicopter operation uses an Airbus AS350 B3, with the terrain and landing zones selected according to current mountain conditions.

Safety First

Heliskiing in the Caucasus requires careful assessment of rapidly changing mountain conditions. Every operation is planned around the weather window, avalanche conditions, visibility, snow stability, and helicopter safety requirements. If conditions do not allow safe flying, the operation will not proceed.

From high-altitude glaciers to long powder descents, Heliskiing in Mestia offers an opportunity to explore some of the most remote and spectacular skiing terrain in the Greater Caucasus.
