DIN / Z-Value Estimator
This calculator's estimate follows the release-torque selection procedure in ISO 8061:2019, used alongside the alpine binding requirements standard ISO 9462:2023. It applies to alpine (DIN-compatible) bindings only. Touring/tech (pin) bindings are certified under a separate standard, ISO 13992:2014, which does not publish a public release-torque selection chart.
