Our Altai ski touring expedition offers six full days of exploration through pristine alpine valleys, old-growth forests, and long powder runs surrounded by dramatic peaks. The Spirit of Ski Touring in Altai Mountains

The Altai Mountains are a true hidden gem for ski touring enthusiasts. Situated in Eastern Kazakhstan, the area combines reliable snowfall, low avalanche risk, and a unique blend of Central Asian and Siberian landscapes. The terrain features long descents of 400–900 vertical meters, slopes between 25° and 40°, and consistent powder conditions from December to early April.

Unlike busier ski destinations, here you’ll experience complete serenity — far from the crowds, with nothing but snow, silence, and the sound of your skis carving through untouched powder. Every day ends with a hot meal, a relaxing session in the traditional Banya (Russian sauna), and stories shared by the fire at Altai Lodge.

Tour Includes

  • Organization of the entire trip from Ust-Kamenogorsk airport and back
  • 6 full days of guided ski touring or splitboarding
  • Professional IFMGA-certified mountain guide service
