Your journey with the Sabalan Ski Touring package begins in Ardabil, a historic city near the Caspian Sea. After a warm-up on the mountain’s lower slopes, you’ll establish a high camp at 3,600–3,800 meters for acclimatization.
From there, a rewarding summit push reveals breathtaking views of the crater lake, followed by an exhilarating ski descent into the surrounding valleys. Arrival in Ardabil
Pick-up from Ardabil airport or Tehran transfer. Explore Ardabil’s old bazaar and Safavid architecture before heading to your hotel.

Light Ski Touring & Hot Springs at Shahbil (2,700 m)
Morning transfer to the lower slopes of Mount Sabalan for an easy ski touring day at low altitude. In the afternoon, relax in the Shahbil hot springs, known for their natural warmth and mineral-rich waters.
Overnight: Guesthouse or lodge in Shahbil (2,700 m)
Summit Day – Ascent to Refuge (3,680 m) and Ski Descent
Morning 4×4 transfer to the mountain refuge (3,680 m). Begin the ascent to Sabalan summit (4,811 m), followed by a ski descent back to the refuge and return to Shahbil in the evening.
Overnight: Guesthouse or lodge in Shahbil
Reserve Day (Weather/Rest Day)
A buffer day in case of bad weather, delays, or to allow for additional rest. If the schedule remains on track, this day can be used for leisure or light activities around Shahbil or Ardabil.
Overnight: Shahbil or Ardabil
Return to Tehran
After breakfast, return transfer to Tehran. If the reserve day was not used, enjoy optional city sightseeing in Tehran before departure.
