Damavand & Doberar Ski Touring

Damavand Ski Touring is a five-day high-altitude adventure that blends the raw beauty of Iran’s mountains with the excitement of untouched powder. This journey takes skiers and mountaineers through two of the country’s most iconic ski-touring regions—Mount Damavand and the Doberar Ridge—offering a unique mix of challenge, tranquility, and cultural immersion.

Standing at 5,610 meters, Mount Damavand dominates the Alborz Range as Asia’s highest volcano, renowned for its symmetrical cone, geothermal vents, and sweeping slopes ideal for long ski descents. In contrast, the Doberar Ridge—an alpine playground of interconnected 3,000–4,000-meter peaks—offers spectacular ridge-line traverses and untracked snowfields framed by panoramic views of northern Iran. Together, these two destinations create a perfect progression: from ridge touring and acclimatization to summiting one of the world’s most majestic volcanic giants.
